VAFO has once again earned a prestigious business recognition with its seventh Czech 100 Best award. The company was ranked among the top ten in a crowded field of companies registered in the Czech Republic. The win reaffirms VAFO’s position as leader not only in the pet food industry but also in the Czech business landscape in general.

The Czech family-owned company, an undisputed leader in the European pet food market, attributes its success to high-quality, healthy, and tasty products. Every year, Comenius, the Pan-European Society for Culture, Education and Scientific & Technical Cooperation, awards prizes to selected Czech companies that have achieved outstanding results. The aim is to identify and highlight companies that excel in business, innovation, sustainability, and their overall contribution to the Czech economy. VAFO first appeared among the best Czech companies in 2014 and has made the list every year since 2018. Moreover, in the last three years, it has consistently ranked among the top ten.

The award was presented to Jakub Majer, CEO of VAFO PRAHA, during a gala ceremony. “We’re very pleased to be among the 100 best Czech companies for the year 2023. This success is not only for the company but also for our employees, who are an integral part of our family. Furthermore, this is the third time we’ve made the top ten, which demonstrates that our strategy is sound and that we have what it takes to compete successfully not only at home in the domestic market but globally as well,” says Majer. In its more than 25-year history, VAFO has firmly established itself as a European leader in high-quality pet food. Its products are distributed to more than 85 countries around the world. In recent years, products in the company’s portfolio have pioneered a sustainable approach to doing business in the pet food industry, with innovations such as fully recyclable packaging and formulas based on alternative proteins.
