We traditionally kicked off 2026 with our internal conference, VAFO Family Meet Up, an event that has become a regular part of how we start the year together. This year, the meet-up took place at the Czech National Library of Technology in Prague, located within the VŠCHT campus, which VAFO has been supporting for the second consecutive year.
More than 160 colleagues from 9 European countries joined the event, once again highlighting the diversity and international nature of the VAFO community. Together, we reflected on the past year, opened key topics for 2026, and explored broader trends shaping our industry and the world around us.
Now in its third year, VAFO Family Meet Up continues to grow as a platform for sharing key updates and strengthening connections across the group. The programme included Welcome & 2026 News, focusing on the most important milestones and achievements of 2025. We also introduced the newest member of the VAFO Family, Biome9, a company dedicated to research in pet microbiome and gut health science.
The first day was further enriched by inspiring talks on future trends and consumer behaviour, delivered by Tom Palmaerts and Pavlína Louženská. We closed the day with an informal gathering and evening party at Signal Space, the largest digital art gallery in the Czech Republic.
The second day was more hands-on and focused on an AI workshop, offering practical tools and inspiration that participants can apply in their daily work.
VAFO Family Meet Up 2026 once again confirmed its role as a key internal event that connects people across countries, teams, and disciplines and helps us move forward together into the year ahead.
