We’re looking for an SEO Copywriter to join our fast-growing brand. This role sits within the Brand Team, but will be a hybrid role working closely with the Digital Team. Supporting the business from a search engine and traffic conversion perspective, your words and SEO knowledge will be invaluable – coming to life through blog articles, website product pages and other SEO focussed copy.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for pooches to dive into this exciting role! Our ideal candidate has a fun and engaging writing style (not just churning out copy because the search engine says so) – with the ability to simplify scientific information, to help educate pet parents about their dog’s nutrition and wellbeing. You really will have the opportunity to bring creativity to your writing.
The business is remote first and run by an ever-growing, talented team. The successful applicant will report to the Lead Copywriter and will work and collaborate with the SEO Lead.
You will be responsible for:
- Writing clear, engaging copy in the Pooch & Mutt tone of voice
- Collaborating with the SEO Lead, Digital Team and other members of the team where necessary, on large and small scale projects
- Seeking and recommending new opportunities for content and blogs, based on gaps and competitor analysis
- Editing and proofreading copy
- Working with the SEO Lead to ensure best practices are used to maximise copy’s reach
- Monitoring competitor content to ensure we’re always ahead of the pack
- Supporting with the creation of content briefs for external copywriters
- Building and uploading blogs to the CMS, taking ownership of the relevant SEO, Brand and PR pieces gaining visibility within the blog area
Skills:
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- An understanding and practical application of SEO best practice (whilst balancing creativity)
- Strong research skills
- A creative mindset
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience using CMS and uploading/editing blogs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- A strong and varied portfolio of case studies
- Must combine creative flair with attention to fine detail
- A personal interest in health, wellness (and pooches!) would be beneficial
